"What colour should I paint the shadows?”
This is a question I get asked all the time and something I struggled with myself for a long time (and still do often).
The short answer is; "Whatever colour you like.”
The slightly longer answer is, "A mixture of what you see and what you would like to see, plus a little theory."
It’s easy to overthink this one, and as always with painting, there is no right or wrong...
...but whatever approach you use there are certainly plenty of considerations, and plenty of pointers, tricks and tips that will really help you with your painting.
