Hi there, and welcome to the tutorials. You will find both full length painting tutorials and shorter tips & techniques videos in the categories below, as well as an archive of older recordings from my previous Patreon Channel.
Feel free to hop about and pick out the tutorials and videos which most appeal to you. Each one does work as a stand-alone. However, I have created these videos so they can be followed in order. They are all numbered in the All Tutorials category, making it easy to do so.
If you are relatively new to watercolour, or you would like to go back to basics - whilst getting a feel for the way the school works and the language and approaches we will be using – then I highly recommend you start at the beginning and follow the videos through in order.
My hope is that through these videos and teachings you will lay the solid foundations of watercolour. Whilst we do dive deep into theory I also try to give you the “whys” behind everything, ultimately enabling you to find your own voice as a painter, and your own way of working.
Not every painting will be a success, that’s ok. Painting at times can be a hard pursuit, but the rewards are immense. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Watercolour is a wonderful and exciting medium. Enjoy the process and enjoy the paint!
