In this tutorial, we get bold and expressive with a rugged coastline.
Whilst there will still be a focus on tonal values (as always!) and colour mixing, I talk about following our instincts a little more and not being quite so logical whilst we paint.
This is also an opportunity to look at breaking away from our photo to “create” a painting with a life of its own.
Beyond this we will also look at capturing light and atmosphere, the contrast of warm and cool colours, and working wet in wet in smaller areas.
