In part 2 of Pet Portraits, we’re going to be painting my other cat, Mia.
As before all of this info can easily be applied to other animals and wildlife, and you certainly don’t have to be a “cat person” to get plenty out of this tutorial.
This time round we will be focusing on creating depth in areas of shadow. Particularly with white in shadow, there is a wonderful opportunity to inject colourful variegation into our washes.
We will also look at creating a feeling of light across patches of dark fur, and of course, those all-important finishing touches in the eyes to make our animals truly come to life!
