How do we approach a scene when there is an overriding harmony of green, yet still keep it interesting with just enough variation?
Join me in painting a very evocative and undeniably wonderful subject of a lily pond to find out.
In the fourth and final part (for now) on mixing and using greens we look at how to create depth with a subtle variety of greens, whilst still allowing an overall green colour to dominate the painting.
As well as all the usual principles and elements of watercolour I also touch on how to create a painting using multiple reference photos; what considerations there are and how do we pull it all together.
I love the end result of this one and there’s plenty wrapped up in it too.
