You’ve probably noticed - I don’t need convincing to paint a snowy scene in watercolour!

This tutorial is all about simplifying both your subject and your watercolour process.

I’ll show you how to step away from copying the scene exactly and getting bogged down in unnecessary detail. Instead, we’ll focus on light, shadow, simple shapes, and having fun with the medium - especially those larger, flowing washes (I’ve got a few little secrets to share here!).

Not only does this approach make any subject easier, but it also creates paintings that are more dramatic, cohesive, and exciting. You’ll capture a glowing sense of light and depth, all the while keeping things looser, freer, and far more fun to paint!
