Join me in painting a selection of flower studies - a fun and free subject that in this case is a wonderful opportunity to look at a wide range of techniques and approaches, as well as having a lot of fun (which is what watercolour is all about!!)
I love doing pages of studies like this, by moving from one to the next relatively swiftly, we can explore lots of interesting colour combos inspired by nature.
Whilst focusing on creating simple shapes (with no drawing first), using plenty of wet into wet, we naturally hone our brushwork and simplification too.
Even if you’re not the biggest fan of painting flowers I highly recommend joining me as all of the key principles and techniques of watercolour are wrapped up in this one!
