Four Mini Paintings : Preview

One of the joys of watercolour is its simplicity and the immediacy by which we can create a lovely little painting that tells us everything we need to know about the subject.

In this tutorial we explore this characteristic - and the accompanying attitude to the medium by painting 4 smaller paintings, around 20 minutes or so each.

I also talk you through using dried-out paint and slightly muddier areas of the palette with a few little tips & tricks.

With simple materials, simple colours and a simple approach my hope is to instil a slightly more carefree approach, still well grounded in the foundational principles.
