Have you ever struggled with wet-on-wet painting, watercolour's most unique and exciting characteristic?
If so, this tutorial will definitely be worth a look.
Join me in painting two sunlit landscapes using a simple process from watery light washes to increasingly creamier and darker mixes.
The key is timing and paint consistency. With a few pointers, tricks and tips you will soon get a feel for this wonderful watercolour element and with this, start feeling much more confident.
We could tackle a larger painting all at once, but I have chosen to go smaller in size, further breaking the painting up into smaller more manageable areas at a time in order to really hone that wet-on-wet feeling.
Simple colours, simple compositions and lots of fun!
Happy painting.
