Time to get stuck into mixing greens!
In this tutorial - one of four, plus a theory video on the topic - we visit a sunlit river scene to focus on creating variety and depth in our greens.
Using a simple set of colours we push our greens both cooler and warmer, changing them slightly every time we go to the palette. This little trick is a fantastic method to capture the feel of a green scene whilst stopping it from being dominated by one shade!
We apply the usual consideration around big bold shapes of light and shadow. All of this making for a fun, expressive and very satisfying painting!
