Join me in painting this autumnal landscape where we continue our adventure into mixing and using greens.
Not all greens have to be either big and bright, or muted and moody, there’s a wonderful array of greens that are colourful yet subtle, and in this case, often drifting into unusual greens and eventually into browns and oranges.
I naturally love these sorts of colours and balancing them with the brighter bolder greens in strong sunlight is so much fun. Combining these colours with a cohesive pattern of shadow, simplification in some areas, and a strong focal, we get a very striking end result.
