Elephants make fantastic subjects! Their wonderful shapes and the way light and shadow play across them are perfect for exploring watercolour's core principles.
We'll use a simple jigsaw of tonal shapes to build form and light, without getting bogged down in detail.
And yes, elephants might be grey, but our paintings don't have to be! Using tone and shape as our anchors, we'll gently exaggerate and play with colour to bring our elephant to life, while simply having fun with the medium!
